Data Collected

  • Account data: email, username, password (stored in encrypted form)
  • Usage data: books, comics and manga added to your library, reading status, friends list
  • Billing data: managed by our payment provider Stripe for the Vate subscription
  • Technical data: session cookies required for authentication

Purposes and Legal Basis

This data is processed to allow the creation and management of your account, the operation of the service's features (library, Vate assistant, friends) and the management of the subscription, on the basis of the performance of the contract that binds you to us.

Data Recipients

Your data may be transmitted to our technical subcontractors: Railway (hosting), Stripe (web payment processing), RevenueCat (management of in-app purchases on mobile), Resend (sending of transactional emails: password reset, friend invitations, subscription confirmation), Better Stack (technical logging) and an artificial intelligence provider for the operation of the Vate assistant. These providers only use your data for the needs of the service.

Retention Period

Your data is retained for the entire lifetime of your account. In the event of account deletion, it is deleted or anonymized, subject to the retention periods required by law (particularly in accounting and tax matters).

Your Rights

In accordance with the GDPR, you have a right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection with regard to your personal data. You can change your username or delete your account directly from the "My Account" page, or contact us at support@luern.app to exercise these rights.

Cookies

The website uses a cookie that is strictly necessary for authentication (maintaining your session). Your theme preference (light/dark) is stored locally in your browser. No audience-measurement or advertising cookies are used.
