General Terms of Use and Sale

1. Purpose

These general terms and conditions govern the use of the Luern website, a personal library management service (books, comics, manga) offering in particular an intelligent assistant, Vate, available via subscription.

2. Account Creation

Access to the website's features requires creating an account using an email address, a username and a password. The user agrees to provide accurate information and to keep their login credentials confidential.

3. Description of the Service

Luern allows you to catalogue books, comics and manga, track your reading progress, keep a wish list (the "dream library") and exchange with friends. The Vate assistant is accessible to users with an active subscription.

4. Vate Subscription

The Vate subscription is a paid subscription, billed monthly, at a rate of €5/month via our payment provider Stripe (website) or €4.79/month via Google Play (mobile app). It renews automatically until cancelled by the user, which can be done at any time from the "My Account" page.

5. Right of Withdrawal

In accordance with Article L221-18 of the French Consumer Code, you have a period of 14 days to exercise your right of withdrawal. By subscribing to the Vate subscription, you expressly request the immediate performance of the service and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal as soon as the digital service has begun to be provided.

6. Termination

The user may delete their account at any time from the "My Account" page. This action is irreversible and results in the deletion of associated data, as well as the termination of any ongoing subscription.

7. Intellectual Property

Content added by the user (library, notes) belongs to them. The Luern brand, its logo and the website's code remain the exclusive property of its publisher.

8. Liability

Luern does everything possible to ensure the availability and security of the service, without guaranteeing uninterrupted operation. The publisher's liability cannot be engaged in the event of a temporary interruption of the service or loss of data resulting from a case of force majeure.

9. Applicable Law

These terms and conditions are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, the French courts shall have sole jurisdiction.
